Wingate Test

The Wingate test (also known as the Wingate Anaerobic Test (WAnT)) is a 30-second all-out exhaustive anaerobic test where the athlete pedals against a resistance that is set at a certain percentage of his/her body weight. The test most often performed on a cycle ergometer that is used to measure lower-body peak power; anaerobic capacity; as well as the reduction of power, known as fatigue index. It is perhaps the most popular assessment of peak anaerobic power, anaerobic fatigue and total anaerobic capacity. GSA has the most widely used Monark 894E Pike Bike for WAnT measurements. Collaterally, Quark-CPET and Fitmate-MED assist GSA specialists to measure gas exchange during and after the test.
