Dance Fest in Antalya!

The Gloria Open Dance Contest, held for the second time this year, was completed with wide participation: 600 dancers from 22 countries participated in the competition.

The Gloria Open (GO) Dance Competition, organized with the support of the World Dance Sports Federation (WDSF) and the Turkey Dance Sports Federation, is considered among the world’s most prestigious dance competitions. The event was held at Gloria Sports Arena. The two-day organisation included 600 contestants from 22 countries: Pasquale Farina-Sofie Koborg from Denmark in the couple’s standard category, and Marius Andrei Balan-Khrystyna Moshenska from Germany in the couple’s Latin category won the first place. The Gloria Open, with success that brought the event into the top three of the world’s best competitions, carried out a full dance fest in Antalya. The dance contest had broad participation, with events held in the Adult, Junior, Stars and Junior age groups in the Standard and Latin categories.

In addition to 600 contestants from 22 countries, 17 referees from 15 countries took part in the mammoth organization, followed by nearly 2,000 dance lovers over two days, many of whom were foreign tourists.

The World Dance Federation (WDSF) Sports Director Marco Sietas also attended the organization, held at Gloria Sports Arena in Belek.

At the same time Sietas, the chief referee for the organization, thanked the Turkey Dance Sports Federation for its support, as well as Board Chairman of Seans Organization Halis Altay, Coordinator of the Organization Alize Altay, and Gloria Sports Arena, which hosted the contest, in addition to Project Manager Elif Özdemir and her team. WDSF Sports Director Marco Sietas, on behalf of all the referees, said that it was the best hospitality they have ever seen in Turkey. Gloria Sports Arena Project Manager Elif Özdemir, emphasizing that they were very happy to host the most prestigious dance contest in the world, said: “With our last project Gloria Sports Arena and with this great organization, we see that we provide the backbone for sports and for athletes to achieve their success worldwide with our support. This is what makes us so proud.”

Contest Coordinator Alize ALTAY said that the Gloria Open Dance Contest, which they organized for the second time this year, is proceeding with great strides towards becoming an annual tradition.

Altay also said that “We all have to make a sacrifice for the success of this sport and the success of our athletes, and we should use our resources for them. The success of each of our athletes will be ours.”

The dancers competing in the Latin and Standard branches earned their places in the world rankings; points earned by competitors in the Gloria Open will be effective in world rankings. In the Standard Adult category, held on the first day of the organization, Pasquale Farina-Sofie Koborg from Denmark were recognized with an 800-euro prize for their couple’s first place. On the second day, in the category of Latin Adults, Marius Andrei Balan-Khrystyna Moshenska from Germany received a prize of 800 Euros.

The contestants received their prizes from Saran Holding Chairman Sadettin Saran, Serik District Governor Rıfat Altan, Mayor of Serik Dr. Ramazan Çalık, Gloria Sports Arena Project Manager Elif Özdemir, and Özaltın Holding Board members Yunus Ozdemir and Melis Özaltın. ​
