Dr. Emre AK, Head of Sports Medicine & Athletic Performance Center Sports Scientist

Emre AK is the Head of Sports Medicine & Athletic Performance Center in Gloria Sports Arena. He completed his PhD in Human Movement Science from Middle East Technical University. He went to Penn State University, Kinesiology School, Biomechanics Department as a visiting scholar for a period of 1.5 years to conduct research on Sports Biomechanics. He has experience in Performance Testing and Data Analysis. He has published international journal articles and involved in different research projects. He is also working as Assistant Professor at Nişantaşı University. He is an active member is Turkish Table Tennis Federation, responsible for International Affairs and Organizations. He is also ITTF Level-1 International Course Conductor. He actively plays Table tennis Badminton, Squash, Tennis and Racketlon.

Pelin Deniz DUYGULU Physiotherapist

Right after she graduated from Baskent University, she started to work in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation fields. First, she worked in a private sports rehabilitation clinic, and then she was commissioned and experienced as team physiotherapist in U17 Women National Volleyball, Women's National Wheelchair Basketball, and Women’s National Ice Hockey National Teams in Türkiye. She has been working with athletes in different levels from several branches, as well as with sedentary people with orthopedic problems under the umbrella of Gloria Sports Arena since 2017.

In 2019, she completed her high-level education IKOMT (Institut für klinisch Orientierte Mehrdimensionale Therapie -Institute for Clinically Oriented Multidimensional Therapy). She was selected and appointed as a lecturer in IKOMP and has been giving lectures during courses.

Her clinical expertise areas are pain, neurophysiology, musculoskeletal dysfunctions, dysfunctions on musculoskeletal system caused autonomic nervous system, and peripheral nervous system dysfunctions & disorders. She also has experienced many therapeutic modalities like manual therapy, dry needling, taping and exercises.

Seher AY Physiotherapist

Seher is an empathetic person who loves to work with individuals to help them become their healthiest selves. She values a holistic treatment approach, ensuring that all aspects of a person’s life are considered to deliver the best possible care. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pamukkale before completing her master’s and Doctoral degrees in Physiotherapy at Pamukkale University. She has worked in Handball teams.

Her passion for physiotherapy all began after suffering a few injuries herself playing competitive handball. She understands the highs and lows of recovering from an injury and empathizes with her patients. Seher is goal-driven – focusing on the little wins along the way to help her patients achieve their overall goals.

She has developed an interest in exercise rehabilitation to manage a variety of conditions. In combination with manual therapy, dry needling and patient education, Seher believes exercise is an effective tool to empower patients to self-manage their situation in the long term and prevent subsequent injuries. She also studied her master's and doctoral thesis about enhancing performance and prevention programs which aim to prevent lower limb injuries. Seher enjoys analyzing how biomechanics of the lower limb can impact daily function and athletic performance. In addition, she has an interest in treating back pain, assisting with pre-and post-operative rehabilitation and various other conditions that present at the clinic.

Artem SHENTYURK Rehabilitation & Athletic Performance Specialist

Artem Shentyurk is experienced athletic performance specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the wellness and fitness industry. He develops and executes training programs to evaluate, measure, and improve athletes’ performance. Expert on functional movement based FMS philosophy. Advanced on nutrition coaching, and body composition, certified by Precision Nutrition. He has also experience in the area of performance analysis, and exercise based musculoskeletal rehabilitation in various sports branches.

Arda Kubilay MERİH Rehabilitation & Athletic Performance Specialist

Arda Merih earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Science from Süleyman Demirel University. He is working as an experienced Performance Specialist. He develops and executes training programs to evaluate, measure, and improve clients’ performance based on the EXOS Training System also help athletes increase their skill levels, avoid injury and reach peak performance various sports branches. He played basketball in Turkish Professional League for various clubs. Experienced in performance tests, body composition and anthropometric measurements.

Emek TÜRKER Physiotherapist

He graduated from Başkent University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. Then he worked in the rehabilitation center for one year and in the scoliosis clinic for two years. He gained experience in orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation.

He graduated from IKOMT NMST (Institute of Clinical-Oriented Multi Dimensioned Therapy-Neuromusculoskeletal Therapy) concept course in 2019.

He continues to gather experience in sports physiotherapy by working with athletes from various countries and various sports branches at Gloria Sports Arena since 2020. He has experience in manual therapy, dry needling, taping and exercise techniques.

Currently, he is a postgraduate student at Antalya Bilim University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

Deniz BODUR Personal Trainer

Deniz Bodur graduated from Gazi University - Faculty of Sports Sciences. He has a Personal Trainer certification from the Australia Sports Institute & Fitness Academy. He worked as an individual trainer in private fitness centers. Currently, he is working as a personal trainer at Gloria Sports Arena, Sports Medicine & Athletic Performance Center.
