Gloria Cup 2019 Volleyball Tournament concludes

The first tournament of Gloria Cup 2019, Gloria Cup Volleyball, has concluded with the Serbia Women’s National Volleyball Team winning the championship. The Women’s National Volleyball Teams of Turkey, Italy and Croatia also participated.

The Women’s National Volleyball Team of Italy was defeated 3-0 by Serbia in their first game, losing 3-0 against Turkey in their second game and 3-0 against Croatia in their final game of Gloria Cup Volleyball. Finishing fourth in the tournament, the team received its plaque from Özaltın Holding Board Member Melis Özaltın.

The Croatia Women’s National Volleyball Team was defeated 3-1 in their first game, against Turkey, and 3-1 in their second game against Serbia. In the last game of the tournament, the Croatian team defeated Italy 3-0, finishing third. The team received its plaque from Abdi Serdar Üstünsalih, the General Manager of Vakıfbank and President of Vakıfbank Sports Club.

The Turkey Women’s National Volleyball Team came in second place in the tournament, defeating Croatia 3-1 in their first game and Italy 3-0 in their second game. In their last game of the tournament, determining the champion, Turkey lost 3-2 to Serbia.
The Turkey Women’s National Volleyball Team received its plaque from Antalya Provincial Sports Director Assoc. Dr. Burhanettin Hacıcaferoğlu.

The Serbia Women’s National Volleyball Team defeated Italy 3-0 and Croatia 3-1 on the two days, and Turkey 3-2 on the last day of the tournament.
Antalya Governor Münir Karaloğlu presented the championship award to the Serbia Women’s National Volleyball Team.

Maja Ognjenović, the captain of the Serbia Women’s National Volleyball Team, was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of Gloria Cup 2019 Volleyball. Ognjenović received her award from Turkey Volleyball Federation (TVF) Board Member Kurtaran Mumcu.
